Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) - Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutes

Introduction

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutes has been established under the guidance of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Government of India. The primary objective of IIC is to create a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the institute by supporting students and faculty in transforming their ideas into viable prototypes and business ventures.

IIC- serves as a central hub for nurturing technological innovations, providing mentorship, and facilitating interactions with industry experts. It fosters a dynamic ecosystem where budding entrepreneurs receive the necessary resources and guidance to scale their ventures successfully.

 Focus of IIC : 

IIC - is committed to building a vibrant local innovation ecosystem and establishing a start-up supporting mechanism within the institution. It aligns with the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) Framework, ensuring the institute's contribution to national innovation initiatives.

The key focus areas of IIC- include :

Establishing a structured innovation ecosystem to support young innovators.

Pre-incubation and scouting of ideas for entrepreneurial ventures.

Organizing entrepreneurship development programs (EDP, FDP, EAC) for skill enhancement.

Encouraging technology commercialization and fostering research-driven innovations.

Promoting social and strategic impact projects for the benefit of society.

 Functions of IIC :

To fulfill its mission, IIC- undertakes the following activities:

Conducting innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities as prescribed by MIC.

Identifying and recognizing student and faculty innovations, while sharing success stories.

Hosting workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry professionals.

Building a mentor pool to support student innovators in refining their ideas.

Establishing a digital innovation portal to showcase projects developed by faculty and students.

Organizing hackathons, idea competitions, and innovation challenges in collaboration with    industry partners.

Networking with peer institutions and national entrepreneurship organizations to strengthen the innovation ecosystem.

Through these initiatives, IIC- aspires to cultivate a culture of innovation, equip students with entrepreneurial skills, and contribute to India's vision of becoming a global innovation hub.
