ENGINEERING STUDENTS AND FITNESS

 

Introduction

 

Everybody wants to be healthy person. Physical as well as mental fitness is important for us.  

As an engineering student staying physically as well as mentally fit is important. For physical fitness we can join Gym and for mental fitness we can join Yoga classes or we can do yoga at home or can do meditation. But as an engineering student it is quite difficult to manage time for both Gym and Yoga in a day. So, let’s discuss what will be best Yoga or Gym.

 

YOGA

The word ‘YOGA’ actually means union. It is a practice that connects the body, mind & spirit through different body postures, meditation & controlled breathing.  

GYM

A physical oriented practice, which is normally the goal. That’s it no further.  

 

Students approach / perception

Many of student’s want to join Gym instead of Yoga. Because they want to just leaner body. They don’t focus on mental fitness.  

Generally, boys choose Gym & some girls choose gym as well as yoga. Some of student choose running because of financial condition & desire.

Advantages of GYM

·        You get stronger.

·        Only focus on muscle growth.

·        Crucial if you want to lose weight.

·        It gives very good shape to your body.

·        Monetary motivation, you have to leave the home Limitations of GYM.

·        Can feel like a rather artificial environment.

·       Can’t increase flexibility of body.

·    Injuries during handling equipment’s may harmful.

·       It can’t shape your mind.

·       Gym membership can be costly  

 

Advantages of YOGA.

  1.   It helps to calm your mind. which help you to improve your relationship.
  2. Improvement in strength and flexibility of body.
  3. Helps to weight loss.
  4. Stress buster and can do at home.  

 

Limitations of YOGA.

  1.      To perform yoga the way it was meant to be, you would have to buy carriers, clothes, blocks, mats & other accessories.

2.     For free of cost you have to search on You tube and learn yoga yourself.

3.     You have to back yourself to do yoga because of lack of partners.

4. You will get result gradually not instant.  Conclusion If we conclude that, Yoga is the best option for an engineering students to build his / her physical as well as mental fitness. It will be quite costly to join yoga classes but if you learn it technically you can start doing yoga at home.  There is just a limitation that you have to note is “It gives result gradually not instantly.
